ALUMASA

Transforming Scrap into Innovation since 1998

Pioneers in Continuous Aluminum Coils.

COMPANY

A story of constant innovation.

It was founded in 1998, together with CEX, to invest in continuous aluminum coating lines because they could not find suppliers and could not offer shutter slat profiling services. We found a niche market that exceeds sales expectations during the first years. In 2014 we put our money into an aluminum foundry, in 2017 into continuous casting, and in 2021 into cold rolling. In this way, Alumasa is 100% self-sufficient in transforming scrap metal into lacquered aluminum coils.

ESTABLISHED SINCE
0
Scrap

Our raw material consists of aluminum waste compatible with our alloys.

Rotary ovens

With a melting point of 750º, we're able to melt the aluminum waste.

Fusing and holding furnaces

In the melting furnaces, we can melt ingots, clean scraps, or retrieve the liquid metal from the rotary.

Continuous casting

We continuously feed the casting process with alloyed metal to get aluminum coils.

Cold roll laminating

With cold lamination, we reduce the thickness of our casting coils so that we can use them in the rest of the processes.

Annealing

This is an intermediate step between rolling passes.

Flattening

Once we reach the desired thickness, we gotta flatten the material to let go of all the stress and get a nice and smooth surface for painting.

Lacquering and Cutting

We paint the aluminum continuously through rollers using the "coil coating" technique.
